The problem for international student is that they have to pay 1 year tuition fee in-advance which is the commitment schools require in order to issue the letter of acceptance. on the other hand, when schools issue a letter they have to plan their budget and hire teachers based on these new students, so according to president of International education program of Vancouver School board, it will be a big loss for everyone, if students can not obtain proper visa and paper work in-time to be in Canada to attend school.

  • C$300 non-refundable


  • C$16,800 per year for 2023-2024 
  • payable by bank draft or certified cheque within Canada; or by telegraphic bank transfer outside Canada
  • Or paid from your immigration lawyer trust account


  • all Vancouver School Board international students must join our group medical insurance plan, according to provincial regulations
  • C$1,100 per year
  • includes visits to doctor and hospital care
  • does not include dental care

  • some textbook deposit fees will apply when the student registers at school; refundable upon return of textbooks in good condition;
  • elective courses may have some small materials fees, depending on the course

If you have a friend or family to become the custodian of your children, and you decide to accompany your kids you do not need to get homestay, otherwise its important to have a homestay and custodian which can increase the yearly tuition to $28,600.
